Forsyth couple found dead in home

Police crime scene tape surrounds a home on Malinda Court in Forsyth, IL, after a couple was found dead inside on Monday, June 2, 2025.

FORSYTH, Ill. (WAND) - Following a 3-month long investigation, the Macon County Sheriff's Office said it has concluded that the deaths of a couple in Forsyth were the result of a murder, suicide.

MCSO investigated the deaths of Dr. William Frame and Lorie Frame. They were found dead in their home on June 2, 2025. Deputies had been called to the home after friends and family became concerned about their whereabouts.

Deputies found William and Lorie in a bathroom, off the main bedroom. Both had been shot.

"After an extensive investigation and elimination of all potential persons of interest though forensic evidence, cellular phone examinations, and interviews, the Sheriff’s Office has completed and closed the investigation," MCSO said. "Evidence showed that William Frame shot Lorie and then took his own life with the same firearm."

Dr. Frame was a cardiovascular anesthesiologist with HSHS St. John’s Hospital. His obituary states he served as the president of the Associated Anesthesiologists of Decatur for 17 years.

The Macon County coroner has officially ruled the cause of death as a homicide/suicide.
