GREENVIEW, Ill. (WAND) — The man killed in a crash in Menard County early Friday morning has been identified.
According to the Menard County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash shortly after 5 a.m. near the intersection of Altig Bridge Avenue and Duncan Avenue in rural Greenview.
The sheriff's office said a deputy arrived on scene and found a vehicle crashed with the driver, identified as 27-year-old Chance C. Rutherford of Greenview, Illinois, inside. Rutherford was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
