CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — Two more people have been charged with murder for their roles in a shooting that killed a 16-year-old in Champaign last month.

Champaign police arrested 18-year-olds Kaden Smith and Kameron Smith on unrelated firearms charges. Both were charged with first degree murder on Thursday in relation to the shooting.

This brings the total number of people charged in the case to four, after a 17-year-old and 21-year-old Robby Mathis were also charged with first degree murder on Wednesday.

According to the Champaign Police Department, officers responded to the 2000 block of Cynthia Drive just after midnight on June 6. When they arrived, officers found 16-year-old Trai'Vvone Wesley, who had been shot. Wesley was taken to the hospital, where he died.
