DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A Decatur man accused of hitting an Ameren worker with his vehicle and driving away has been granted pretrial release.Â
Clifford England, 39, is accused of hitting the worker with his truck around 6:30 p.m. July 26 near Turpin Road and South Shores Drive.Â
The Macon County Sheriff's Office said the worker was left "severely injured."Â Â
England was arrested Thursday and was later charged in the hit-and-run.Â
Under his release, England is not allowed to drive a vehicle, according to Macon County court records.
England will make his next court appearance Sept. 16.Â
