A jury found former Sangamon County Sheriff’s Deputy Sean Grayson guilty of second-degree murder in the shooting death of Sonya Massey inside her home in 2024.

A list of 20 witnesses and experts were expected to testify in the Sean Grayson Murder Trial in Peoria. 

The 12 person jury is made up of nine women and three men. 11 of them are white and one is Black. The three alternates include two white men and one white woman.
