(WAND) - The new owner of Toys R Us wants to open more stores in the United States. 

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) – A gym is planning to move into the former Toys R Us location in Champaign.

(WAND) – Toys R Us lenders have canceled a plan to sell assets in a bankruptcy auction, potentially opening the door for the business to be revived.   

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) – Toys R Us in Champaign will close down completely when Friday is over. The company is shutting down stores nationwide on the same day, The News-Gazette reports, after filing for bankruptcy protection in 2017. It plans to close each of its 740 United States locations.
