Adeena Balthazor joined WAND Sports in March 2023 and was elevated to WAND Sports Director in June 2025. 

Adeena is a native of Peotone, IL, and graduated from Olivet Nazarene University. 

Before coming back home she was a news reporter and fill-in sports reporter in West Virginia and a sports reporter in North Dakota. 

Since coming to WAND, Adeena enjoys covering all the local athletes and teams that make runs to state tournaments and covering University of Illinois Athletics, including the men's basketball teams runs to the Elite 8 in 2023-24 season, the football teams Citrus Bowl victory in the 2024 season and the women's team winning the programs first ever championship in 2024. 

In her free time, Adeena enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, watching all things reality TV, especially Dancing With the Stars. An avid sports fan, she is a big watcher of college football and basketball, MLB, and the NHL.
