Nick is the weekend morning meteorologist on WAND News.
Nick is a veteran meteorologist who joined WAND at the beginning of 2026 after spending several years working in Central Illinois. He has covered major severe weather events in the state including tornadoes and the June 2023 derecho that caused severe damage to the area.
Nick graduated from Eastern Illinois University after spending years working at WEIU learning how to forecast and cover weather events.
Nick has worked in several states around the country in several different climates, covering all kinds of severe weather from hurricanes to blizzards.
In his down time you can find him around Decatur with his wife and 2 children. Anytime it's above freezing he's outside with the kids.
He's a massive University of Illinois fan for all things sports, so expect to see him in some orange and blue!
Nick appears regularly on WAND Wake Up, weekdays from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and on WAND Now's Sunrise and Sips at 7 a.m. You can also see Nick weekdays during WAND News @ Noon. His video forecasts appear regular on the WAND Weather app, available from your phone's app store.
