CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Illinois Women's Basketball will kick off 2026 with a tough test against 14-0 Maryland.
Illinois is 12-1 on the season, and is coming off an 83-73 win over Purdue on Sunday. The Fighting Illini have a chance to add to their best start in program history versus the Terrapins, who are one of just a handful of unbeaten programs left in the country.
Illinois is 1-17 in the all-time series against Maryland, including 1-5 under coach Shauna Green, according to Illinois Athletics.
