CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) --Â After a tough January and February Illinois men's basketball has seemed to find their stride when the calendar flipped to March winning their last three games.
In their win Friday night against Purdue the Illini broke a five game losing streak against the Boilermakers.
The Illini finished the regular season with 20 wins allowing them to join only three other programs in the nation to record 20 wins in a regular season for the last six years.
Head Coach Brad Underwood said he liked the fight he saw from his team against Purdue and has always known what this team can do.
And now heading into the Big 10 tournament and the NCAA tournament the team said this is the most confident they have felt all season.
