CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) - The Eastern Illinois University volleyball team cruised past Morehead State on Tuesday night to clinch the OVC Tournament championship.
The Panthers won their second conference title in three years behind a 3-0 sweep on their home floor. With the victory, EIU clinches an automatic berth into the NCAA tournament, and await the announcement of their matchup when it's revealed Sunday, Nov. 30 at 5pm.
In recognition of their performances throughout the tournament, 3 panthers players were named to the All-Tournament Team: Lilli Amettis, Emma Schroeder, and Catalina Rochaix. Amettis was also named the OVC Tournament MVP.
