N2S2B returns for 8th year bringing joy to not only campers but coaches as well

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) -- Court is in session for the 8th straight year for the Never 2 Small 2 Ball camp.

Mikayla Lehman founded this camp back in 2017 as a way to make sure all kids in the area have something to do during the summer time.

"The whole gist of it was to prove that regardless of your size, anybody can hoop and anybody can get out there and try and play with anybody on the court. By the end of the week, my goal is for them to feel like they're loved and that they can do anything," Lehman said.

The camp is offered to young kids before before entering high school. For the campers it's something they look forward to every summer and playing against all different ages.

After an emotional year Mikayla almost took a year off but with the support of not only her family and fellow coaches but also the community she entered this years camp with the mind set of when life gives you lemons make lemonade.
