NEW BERLIN, Ill. (WAND) --Â Week 2 of high school football games kick off in three days and our WAND Matchup of the Week is a rivalry game between New Berlin and Pleasant Plains.
Both teams are looking for their first win of the season. The Pretzels had a tough week 1 game against Maroa-Forsyth.
If you look at the roster of New Berlin you would think they are an older team with 14 seniors but Head Coach Robert Dunn said they have only a handful of guys with varsity experience.
And now heading into week 2 in a trophy game they know that while they know players on the other sideline come Friday night it's all business.
The Cardinals and Pretzels take the field Friday for our WAND matchup of the week. Game kicks off at 7 p.m. at New Berlin.
