Rantoul, Ill. (WAND) — Anyone interested in rugby may want to head to Rantoul next month.
Rugby teams from across Illinois will head to the Rantoul Family Sports Complex for the 2025 Rugby Illinois State Championships.
"Hosting State Championships has been a goal of the complex for a few years now," said Ryan Reid, the director of sports operations for the complex, in a statement. "It's hard to beat Champaign County as a sports destination, and we're thrilled to add a state-wide competition to our already full calendar."
The event, set for May 31st, will feature competitive play from both youth boys and girls teams.
