BROCTON, Ill. (WAND) -- A portion of an Edgar County highway is closed after a two vehicle crash. 

Illinois State Police said, the crash happened on Illinois Rt. 49 just south of County Road 1525N. Which is about two miles south of the village of Brocton.

Northbound traffic on RT 49 is being detoured at Edgar CR 1400N. 

Southbound traffic on RT 49 is being detoured at Edgar CR 1700N.
