St. Teresa High School adding boys' and girls' wrestling for 2025-26 school year

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The St. Teresa High School Board of Directors has approved the addition of boys’ and girls’ wrestling as IHSA sanctioned sports for the 2025-26 school year.

In a statement, the school said, "St. Teresa has a strong tradition of success in athletics and the addition of wrestling will give students another option during the winter sports season." 

The only winter sports offered at St. Teresa currently are boys’ and girls’ basketball.

The search for the school’s first wrestling coach will start right away.
