DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Monday! It is a bitterly cold start to the morning. Temperatures are in the teens, but wind chills are much colder, with some spots below 0. These gusty winds will hang around most of the day, around 25 to 30 mph. Sunshine should take over by the afternoon, but it won’t do much to warm us up. This will be the coldest day of the week.

Temperatures overnight will be cold in the teens. Warmer temperatures return on Tuesday afternoon. Strong winds out of the south will allow the warmer air to take over. Cloudy skies will keep the temperatures warmer overnight into Wednesday.

The next chance for some precipitation will move in on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. This could be a mix of rain and snow as temperatures drop overnight. A tenth to a quarter inch of rain is possible. Temperatures will warm up a bit on Friday and Saturday.
