DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Friday! The severe weather threat has moved out of the region, but it will be a very windy day as this low-pressure system moves eastward. Winds will gust around 40 to 45 mph through the morning. Gusty winds will drop throughout the afternoon as sunny skies return.
Temperatures will be able to drop quickly tonight with the clear skies. Expect below-freezing temperatures for the next several mornings. Temperatures will be chilly this weekend with wind chills staying in the low 30s and 20s through Monday afternoon.
Warmer temperatures will move in next week. Highs should be close to average on Tuesday in the 40s. The only shot of rain over the next 7 days will be on Wednesday. Warmer temperatures should return by the end of next week.
