DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Tuesday! Another Dense Fog Advisory is in place this morning, but today it’s mainly for areas along I-72.
Fog and low clouds will continue throughout the morning, and cloudy skies will continue throughout the rest of the day as a secondary front swings by. A few more isolated showers will be possible this evening as it rolls through.Â
This cold front will usher in much colder air behind it, and as high pressure builds in, gusty winds will pick up as well. A Wind Advisory has been issued for the Northwestern position of our viewing area, highlighting winds gusting up to 50 mph. Other areas outside the advisory may still see wind gusts up to 45 mph.Â
These gusty winds paired with colder temperatures will leave us frigid Wednesday night and Thanksgiving morning. The colder air persists throughout the rest of this week, setting up our chances for some wintry weather for the start of this weekend.Â
