(WAND) - There's a mix of unstable air cold air aloft and strong low-level convergence behind out latest cold front weekend.  It's a perfect set up for the development of funnel clouds.

Cold air funnels are small, typically weak funnel clouds that form beneath showers or weak thunderstorms, especially in environments with cold air aloft. They're different from tornadoes in that they rarely touch the ground or cause damage, though they can on rare occasions produce brief, weak touchdowns.

Stay weather aware and warm this weekend.  Â
