DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Saturday! Happy Boat Race weekend to all who celebrate. You’ll want to keep an eye on the forecast today with a few thunderstorms expected.

We start the day partly sunny for most, although we are tracking thunderstorms and showers for our hometowns farthest northeast. The first part of our day will be largely on the dry, partly sunny, warm, and muggy side of things. Highs in the upper 80s will feel more like low 90s with dewpoints expected to rise to the low 70s.

By the late afternoon, a few isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible. There is potential for one of these storms to become severe by the evening, with strong wind gusts and hail being a strong possibility wherever they set up. However, showers turn light and spotty overnight. Lows are warm in the upper 60s and low 70s.

Better chances for more widely scattered showers and (non-severe) storms arrive tomorrow, and continue through Monday.

Have a great weekend!
