Frigid air returns this weekend

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Saturday! The colder air we’ve been tracking arrives today, and we may even see a few more snowflakes along with it.

Today will be partly sunny as clouds stick around between low-pressure systems. We may even see a few stray flurries tonight as the first system continues northeast. Otherwise, temperatures today are cold in the teens and low 20s.

Tonight, windy conditions continue between shifting weather patterns. This will leave overnight lows in the single digits, feeling like sub-zero temperatures.

Another chance for isolated snow showers and flurries returns tomorrow afternoon and evening, accompanied by another shot of cold air and wind. By Monday morning, we’ll be feeling like 10-15 degrees above zero.
