DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A "Heat Advisory" covers all of Central Illinois as the hottest weather of the summer settles in today and tomorrow.
Highs today will reach the low-to-mid-90s with 96° possible Thursday. So far in 2025, the hottest temperature in Decatur was 95° in June, which we achieved for six consecutive days!Â
Once you add in the humidity, it'll feel like 105°-115°!
A few scattered showers and storms are possible this afternoon and, again, Thursday afternoon.Â
Shower and storm chances increase Thursday night into Saturday. Any of these showers and storms could drop very heavy rain.
Intense heat builds back in Sunday into early next week.
