TEUTOPOLIS, Ill. (WAND) — There will be a memorial bell toll service in Teutopolis Monday to remember the five lives lost in an anhydrous ammonia crash.
The crash happened in September 2023 when a driver tried passing a truck carrying the material in a no-passing zone.
A single bell will begin tolling at 8:41 p.m., the same time the crash was reported, for about four minutes. It will be at St. Francis Catholic Church at 203 E. Main St.
There will be firetrucks from different agencies with their lights on to commemorate the victims.
