DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Wednesday! It is a chilly start to our Wednesday with wind chills in the low single digits. Actual air temperatures are sitting in the teens with mostly clear skies. Some areas are warmer in the 20s due to some overnight cloud cover. Temperatures will be slow to warm up today, with highs staying below average in the mid-20s.

Cloudy skies hang around through the afternoon with a few peaks of sunshine. Temperatures will again plunge overnight, but overnight lows will be slightly warmer in the teens. Temperatures will climb faster on Thursday, reaching just above freezing by the late afternoon.

Temperatures will start much warmer on Friday morning. We will warm up from the 20s into the low 40s by the afternoon with winds gusting out of the west. Snow chances will be in the region, but it will stay further north and east through Saturday morning.

Next week looks substantially warmer. High temperatures will be in the 40s and low 50s! It could be short-lived, but above-average temperatures should hang around through next weekend.
