Quiet start to a busy week

DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Sunday! We are back to quiet conditions for the start of the week, but the quiet weather will be short-lived.

Clouds will gradually clear out today. We’ll be breezy and warm with temperatures in the mid-80s. Clear skies continue tonight, and temperatures will dip back into the upper 60s.

Tomorrow, our next frontal system arrives. The warm front lifts in early, bringing raindrops as early as 9 am. While a few storms will be possible early, a line of strong to severe thunderstorms may develop by midday. This will bring concerns for strong gusty winds and large hail. We’ll continue to watch for storms through Monday evening.

As the cold front passes through on Tuesday, we’ll be tracking another chance for strong thunderstorms across the area.
