(WAND) - Severe weather struck parts of central Illinois, Friday afternoon.
Due to storms rolling through the area the Decatur Fire Department and other first responders have received several calls of downed power lines and large branches.
Thousands have been reported without power according to the CWLP and Ameren.
Fire crews were seen in the 3900 block of Bayview Dr. in Decatur for a report of a tree fallen on top of a home.
A billboard near the Staley viaduct was knocked down during the storm.
Reports of downed trees:
Trees were spotted down across Lost Bridge and Briarwood.

Bayview Drive
Northbound MLK and Cleveland
All Decatur Park District bike trails leading out of Fairview Park are currently closed. The district is asking the public to stay off the trails to allow crews to work safely and efficiently.
