DECATUR, IL. (WAND) - Happy Saturday and Valentine’s Day! Hopefully, you’re gifting your loved ones an umbrella!
We’re starting our day with overcast skies, but rain arrives in the southwest by mid-afternoon. While heavier rain will fall along the I-70 corridor, areas as far north as the Bloomington to Danville line could be clipped with lighter rainfall. Highest totals could reach an inch, especially along and south of I-70.Â
Temperatures today will still warm into the upper 40s, and clouds and rain this evening will be limited to the low 40s.Â
Rain gradually tapers off overnight, and we’ll gradually return to sunshine throughout the day on Sunday. As an upper-level trough sets up over the west coast, deep southwesterly flow allows temperatures to warm into the 60s for midweek. This warm-up will build up to more chances for rain later this week.Â
