DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Quiet, more comfy weather has returned, but for how long?

It was a nice break for those helping family, friends and neighbors with storm cleanup. However, a cluster of storms is widening and strengthening over the eastern Four Corners into Oklahoma and Kansas. Given that there is plenty of drier air in place across Illinois, these storms will weaken on approach later Saturday morning. Regardless of whether or not they produce a thundershower late morning/midday or just dissipate, they will help saturate the column of air above our heads.

Yes, Saturday will turn out more humid. So, when the next batch of thunderstorms arrives Saturday evening, there can be isolated severe weather. The WAND weather team does not believe there is a good chance of a tornado. The risk isn't zero, but it certainly isn't great. Isolated wind gusts near 60 mph are likely the biggest concern.

Stay tuned, stay safe and stay weather-aware.
