SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — The Illinois Department of Agriculture announces the return of the Illinois Product Expo on March 1st and 2nd. The expo will be held in the Orr Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
For 26 years, this event has connected local food companies with consumers, celebrating Illinois's best culinary and agricultural products.
Attendees can taste many Illinois products, relax in the Illinois Wine Garden, and stock up on their favorite items.
Admission is $5 per person. Children aged 10 and under can enter for free.
“This family-friendly event gets bigger and better every year,” said IDOA Director Jerry Costello II. “We are excited to have a wide variety of vendors – from longstanding crowd favorites to first-time exhibitors. It’s a convenient way to shop local and discover new Illinois products.”
Featured vendors include The Homestead Bakery, ReMARKable Caramels, Rolling Lawns Farm, Ropp Jersey Cheese, Glaciers End, Phoenix Bean, Turasky Meats, Engrained Brewing Company, and Creekstone Kettle Works, among many others.
The Illinois Wine Experience will showcase 14 wineries from across the state, offering guests the chance to sample and purchase their favorite local wines.
“This year’s Illinois Product Expo welcomes new vendors such as Siddity Pig Pork Snacks, The Infused Olive, and Luka Popcorn,” said Jackie Sambursky, IDOA Bureau Chief of Marketing. “We’re also excited to feature Copi cooking demonstrations in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.”
