DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) -Â The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of things to do and see across central Illinois.
Here is a selection of events, markets, concerts and more happening Friday, April 10, to Sunday, April 12.
Festival of QuiltsÂ
The Cunningham Children's Home in Urbana is hosting its 22nd Festival of Quilts event. There will be over 300 quilts and 100 centerpieces available for purchase.
When: Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Spiritual Life Center on Cunningham Children's Home campus, Urbana
Enchanted Museum: The BalletÂ
Enjoy a night out at the Virginia Theatre with a performance of "Enchanted Museum: The Ballet." According to the theatre's website, the production is loosely inspired by "The Fairy Doll," "Night at the Museum" and the 1993 children's book of the same name by Milan Trenc.Â
Doors will open 45 minutes before showtime.
When: Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m.

Henson Robinson Zoo reopening
The Henson Robinson Zoo reopens on Saturday for the 2026 season. Zoogoers can enjoy a wild time full of animal encounters and adventures.Â

Small Business Fest
Enjoy a day of shopping, food and more at the Small Business Fest at Eastern Illinois University. Attendees can support EIU student entrepreneurs with 40 vendors showcasing their products and services.Â
When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Booth Library quad, EIU campus, Charleston
Midwest Toy and Comic Fest
The Midwest Toy and Comic Fest returns to Decatur. There will be over 100 vendors, featuring various toys, comics, games and more.
Additionally, there will be a few celebrity guests making appearances, including Sergeant Slaughter, WWE Hall of Famer The Godfather, Selwyn Ward and Tracy Lynn Cruz from "Power Rangers in Space," Patricia Patts, Isaak Wells and Paul E. Niemeyer.
When: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Decatur Civic Center, Decatur
