URBANA, Ill. (WAND) — On Saturday, Christmas decorations came to life on what is known as "Candlestick Lane" in Urbana.

That evening, during an annual lighting ceremony, each home revealed its lights and decorations one by one.

The peppermint Christmas classic is near Cottage Grove Ave. and Philo Rd. and has been a part of the Urbana community for over 60 years.

Carol Pervical, one of the community members, told WAND News the neighborhood is grand:

"When you buy a house on Grant Place, the realtor is to tell you, you're buying on Candlestick Lane. And what's that... and everything. But, everybody makes their own, decorations. And, it's just it's a good time because we get at when we're decorating the whole neighborhoods together, and we just have a good time."

You can check out Candlestick Lane until the end of December. It is open until 10:00 p.m. daily until then.
