Bigfoot Hike to be held at Rock Springs Nature Center

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A Bigfoot Hike will be held at Rock Springs Nature Center next month.

The Bigfoot Hike will be October 5 from 7-9 p.m.

The Macon County Conservation District said of the hike, "Join us as we explore the world of cryptids, creatures, and nocturnal wildlife, the finish the night by sipping hot cocoa and toasting marshmallows by the fire."

The event kicks off with a look into the legend of Bigfoot, including local sightings and recorded sounds that have sparked curiosity for years.

The event is $5 per person and online registration is required by 12 p.m., October 4.

Rock Springs Conservation Area is located on the southwestern edge of Decatur at 3939 Nearing Lane. From Decatur, take Route 48 south and turn west onto Rock Springs Road, or head south on Wyckles Road and turn east onto Rock Springs Road.
