MACON COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - The burn ban for much of Macon County has been lifted effective immediately.Â
Macon County EMA announced Monday that communities are permitted to return to local burn guidelines, aside from Argenta/Oreana, which will return to previous guidelines Wednesday, Oct. 22.Â
County residents are urged to continue using caution and common sense when burning. Residents are encouraged to reach out to their local fire department with questions.Â
Macon County remains under a severe drought, per MCEMA.Â
