EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) - The Effingham County Chamber announced the resignation of President & CEO Lucinda Hart, CAE, MBA, IOM, effective May 31, 2024.
Hart has taken on the role of Executive Director for an International Women’s Association, headquartered in Austin, TX.
"She played a pivotal role in steering the Chamber's initiatives post-pandemic, ensuring that the Chamber concluded with a strong reserve," said Dr. Austin Cheney, 2024 Board Chair. “Her dedication and hard work have been greatly appreciated by the Chamber Board of Directors.”
In her resignation statement, Lucinda said, "While it saddens me to leave, I am excited about the new challenges ahead and am grateful for the experiences and relationships I have gained during my time in Effingham County."
The Chamber Board will start the search for Hart's successor. During the April Board meeting, the Chamber Board delegated the Chamber Executive Committee the responsibility to seek an Interim President & CEO before Hart's departure.
A permanent replacement will commence later this month.
