Events coming up at the Decatur Civic Center

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — If you are looking for an event in Decatur, check out the Civic Center for plenty of musical and theater performances over the next few months.

Tonight, singer songwriter John Ford Coley will take the stage.

There are other shows to check out this month as well like a musical re-imagining the works of Dr. Seuss.

And then in November, there will be an Olivia Newton-John comes to town to showcase her many works over the last few decades.

Marketing Manager Sarah Butts reminds people the ice skate rink is also a family-fun option this holiday season. "The ice rink is open; we have many times for the public to come in and skate. It is a great family exercise, family activity, everyone seems to love it." Adding, if you have never skated on ice, there is help available, "We have trainers for those who need a little assistance." She says there is something every weekend for everyone.
