EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) - A Teutopolis man arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a child in December 2025 was charged with six more felonies.Â
The Effingham County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that Jeffery Esker, 34, was charged with six additional counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, which are Class 2 felonies.Â
Esker was arrested on Dec. 5 following an investigation by the Effingham County Sheriff's Office.
He was originally charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, which are considered Class X felonies.Â
Esker will remain in custody at the Effingham County Jail.Â
