DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - After several years, the Brush College overpass is set to reopen next month.

The City of Decatur said on Facebook Thursday that construction on the Brush College overpass bridge over Faries Parkway is almost complete after three years.

Current closures are due to pouring fresh pavement and installing traffic lights for the intersection of Brush College Road and the jug handle road.

There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the project's completion in early September.

According to the City, there will possibly be lane closures for additional work, but not a "complete closure."

Further updates will be posted to the City of Decatur's Facebook page
