FITHIAN, Ill. (WAND) - The Vermilion County coroner has identified the body found near a car that ended up in a flooded ditch Tuesday.
The coroner said the victim was 20-year-old Jaquincia Comage of Decatur.
Illinois State Police said Comage's body was found not far from a vehicle that became stranded in a ditch in rural Vermilion County on Tuesday.
ISP told WAND News Comage's body was found on a riverbank several miles from the original crash scene on Route 49 near County Road 2100 North.
The coroner said an autopsy is scheduled for later Wednesday.
Police responded to an area near Fithian around 10 a.m. Tuesday after a call about an unoccupied vehicle in a ditch. Police said the vehicle had water damage.
Several first responders began searching for anyone associated with the vehicle.
ISP is still investigating.
