EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) — An Altamont man was sentenced to 32 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to illegally videotaping women at a local restaurant.
Dylan Ritchel was arrested in September after police said he took photos of women in the women's bathroom at Golden Corral at the Ave of Mid America.Â
Court records show Ritchel, 23, appeared in court Wednesday and pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful videotaping.
He'd also been charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault of a minor and manufacturing child pornography due to evidence detectives said they found after his initial arrest. Ritchel pleaded guilty to those charges Wednesday, too.Â
Other charges against him were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.Â
Ritchel was sentenced to 10 years in state prison for criminal sexual assault, 20 years for child pornography and two years each for the videotaping charges.Â
The videotaping charges must be served concurrently, while the other charges are consecutive.Â
Ritchel received credit for 324 days served in the county jail.Â
