EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) - An Altamont man was arrested Monday after being accused of illegal videotaping at an Effingham restaurant.
The Effingham Police Department said that officers responded to a report after 1 p.m. of an unknown man taking photographs of women in the women's bathroom at Golden Corral on the Ave of Mid America.
Effingham police stated that the man, later identified as 22-year-old Dylan Ritchel of Altamont, was arrested shortly after officers arrived.
Ritchel was booked into the Effingham County Jail on two counts of unauthorized video recording and live video transmission, two counts of disorderly conduct, and additional charges of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a minor, manufacture of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
EPD added that Ritchel will have his first court appearance Tuesday morning.

Hruby Restaurant Operations, LLC, a Golden Corral franchise, sent the following statement to WAND News:
"A man was escorted out of our restaurant in Effingham, IL, and police were called after guests complained that someone was allegedly videoing in the women’s restroom. The safety and well-being of our staff and guests is always our first priority."
