CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - The Champaign Police Department is seeking the community's assistance in investigating a bank robbery.
Champaign police said that officers were called after 11 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a bank robbery along S. Neil Street.
CPD learned that the suspect had damaged security glass while demanding money and threatening workers. The suspect eventually ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.
No injuries were reported, and Champaign police said that there was no evidence of a gun being used at any point.
This investigation is ongoing.
