DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - God's Shelter of Love, a faith-centered shelter that supports 138 women and 22 children experiencing homelessness, is looking for women to join a new effort.
The shelter is inviting women of faith to help as it launches the Matthew 25 Circle, a monthly giving initiative inspired by Matthew 25:35 ("I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was a stranger and you invited me in").
For a monthly gift of $49, founding members will provide a full night of shelter, meals, case support, and spiritual care for one woman in need. Members will also get a limited-edition enamel pin and exclusive updates on the lives being changed.
“For better or worse, the shelter is always full,” said Dan Watkins, Executive Director of God’s Shelter of Love. “And while we’re honored to meet the need, we know it’s not slowing down. That’s why we’re launching a new opportunity for women to come alongside women—month after month—with help and hope.”
Enrollment is open for a limited number of founding members. To join, click here.
