DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Police are investigating after a woman was shot while sitting in her car near the CVS in north Decatur Sunday night.
It happened at the intersection of West Pershing Road and N. MacArthur Rd. That is near the Gailey Eye Clinic and the CVS Pharmacy.
WAND reporters at the scene saw at least five Decatur police cars in the area around 8:45 p.m. The intersection was blocked off by police.
The Decatur Police Department told WAND News a 19-year-old woman was shot while sitting her her vehicle at that location. She was taken to the hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.
