EFFINGHAM, Ill. (WAND) - HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital held a ceremony on Wednesday, to unveil and bless the final panel of a mosaic artwork by Dr. Ruben Boyajian.

This artwork honors the victims of the 1949 fire that destroyed the original St. Anthony's Hospital by including their names in the design. The mosaic also remembers the community's recovery efforts after the tragedy.

Hospital officials and community members gathered for the unveiling, reflecting on the strength and unity of the institution's history. The mosaic symbolizes hope and healing, honoring the past while looking towards a better future.

Bishop Paprocki was present to perform the blessing.
