SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — The Illinois Department of Transportation will host a career fair Thursday morning.
The career fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Harry R. Hanley Building, 2300 S. Dirksen Parkway. It is free and open to the public.
IDOT says representatives from its offices and bureaus that oversee technical and administrative support responsibilities will be available during the career fair to talk about current and upcoming employment within the agency.
Anyone who attends the career fair can apply for jobs on-site. IDOT says the Secretary of State's Office will also have staff at the fair to answer questions on how to obtain a commercial driver's license for positions that require one.
IDOT says there is a limited number of computers available during the career fair. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptop, if possible.
Registering for the career fair is recommended, but not required.
