CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — "If you come to the show in Champaign, you won't be in Champaign that night...," said Rod Sickler, Director of Red Hot Winter.

Celebrating twenty years, Red Hot Winter is a dazzling, energetic variety show  that takes you right into a Vegas-style showroom. With singers, dancers, and stunts, it's a one-of-its-kind evening.

"We've turned the City Center into a Vegas lounge..." said Sickler. The show is a fantastical blend of carnival, artistry, and burlesque. Talent features performers on America's Got Talent, the X Factor, and Superbowl Halftime Performances.

For twenty years, Sickler has taken this show around the world. Now, central Illinois is the next stop this weekend.

Sickler, a Champaign native himself, is proud to be bringing his art right back to his roots. The show even features a mix of local artists from the area. "This is my home! I want to do it the best I can right here."

The night is bound to wow audience members, as choreographer Joey Kirby is excited to showcase a variety of styles. "You will see some death defying acts. You'll see some amazing dancing. You will easily see some of the best singing that you will hear ever."

Red Hot Winter performances will benefit Aunt Martha’s Health & Wellness, a community health center in Illinois. They provide services to unsecured patients and families in crisis. The organization’s mission is to support the well-being of its communities.

"I'm really proud to be able to have the opportunity to help that organization..." Sickler added. "We're able to help bring awareness and raise funds!"

As the cast continues rehearsals, Sickler is proud to bring world-class talent to central Illinois.

"You don't have to get on a flight to see what I think some of the best entertainment. I'm very pleased with the people who have come to to do this show."
