MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - Lytle Pool in Mattoon will not open this summer. 

The pool will not open due to an irreparable mechanical problem with one of the main pool pumps. 

Staff and contracted services are not able to find replacement parts due to the age of the pumps. Those parts are necessary to manage the pool and ensure the health and safety of visitors. 

Those who have 2024 pool reservations will be contacted and refunded.
