MT. ZION, Ill. (WAND) — Mayor Lucas Williams signed a proclamation Tuesday declaring April 23, 2025 as "LIVE. LIKE. JACK. Day."
Jack D. Brinkoetter died in a sledding accident near Mt. Zion in January. He was 10 years old.
The day is meant to "encourage all residents to honor Jack's memory by embracing the values he lived by: kindness, compassion, friendship, and his love of music and dancing."
