SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is prepared to open its new exhibit, just in time to celebrate the nation's 250th birthday.

"The Second American Revolution" will run from Friday to Jan. 17, 2027.

According to ALPLM, the exhibit will explore how the Civil War and Lincoln changed the United States of America.

Items on display will include a copy of the 13th Amendment, a pen used to sign the Emancipation Proclamation and a chair that was inside Ford's Theatre when Lincoln was assassinated.
